Ivory Soap Experiment

Ivory Soap in the Microwave

I have seen a lot of posts/experiments were you put a bar of Ivory soap in the microwave for 90 seconds (or so) and it will expand into cool forms. So, I tried it! It went a little bit crazy and exploded all over the microwave encrusting super potent soap onto it… but it was pretty cool 🙂 These pictures are after it had been cooled a bit and manipulated by curious hands… I put it out at the sinks for the children to wash their hands with before snack.

*I also put it in the water table but it turned the water to slime! It was gross, even for the kids 🙂

    • It’s a clean mess! I would just have your children play with on a cookie sheet after you have expanded it in the microwave. It would be cool to add food colouring drops on it after and explore colours with it.
